The Belkin F5D5231UK4 4-Port Cable/DSL Gateway Router allows you to easily share your cable or DSL modem's connection to the Internet with all your connected computers. Along with the convenience of networking, you'll enjoy the advantages of broadband Internet access without the expense of additional service connections and extra modems. The Router provides top-level security to your network with a NAT firewall that locks out would-be hackers, and you'll also be able to restrict access on any or all of the computers on the network. Using VPN (Virtual Private Networking), the Router can be configured to allow remote access to the network by authorized users. The integrated switch allows you to directly connect 4 desktop PC’s or notebooks. Every port of the switch automatically senses the right speed and full/half duplex mode, and Auto Uplink technology automatically adjusts for
straight-through Cat5 Cable or crossover cables . A constant data-stream is guaranteed by flow-control according to the IEEE802.3x standard. Connecting to the wired router is easy whether you have Windows® or Mac computers by using the Easy Install Wizard, enabling any computer user to easily distribute MP3s, digital movies and photos. Port Forwarding controls make it simple to communicate using multimedia applications, such as web services and online Internet gaming.
