Now and again we all fall for substandard products, what is so frustrating is retailers/sellers passing them of as the genuine article. Not all Ethernet Patch Cable (Cat5e/Cat6/etc) is created equally genuine copper cable is made from pure copper and Copper Clad Aluminium (CCA) wire uses an aluminium conductor that is coated with copper hence some suppliers offering really cheap cables at knocked down prices. It is what it is a “cheaper option”. CCA is not permitted by cabling industry Standards and we strongly advise against the use of CCA wire in twisted pair network cable. The use of CCA wire directly affects download speeds, data speeds and we are still to find if it works well with Power over Ether, CCTV and various other Networking applications.

Absolutely agree with you, some sellers really sell underrated products as “cheap”, but in the long run, it will be taxing for the consumer!

you can always tell the quality of USB cables by looking at the thickness of the cable. thicker usb cables have higher quality “‘*
